Cher was slightly scared that she could bore Calum out since this was her first relationship ever but she was going to try to do her best and hope that Calum would still stay with her.
"I don’t know." She shrugged softly, her arms loosely around him. "Oh wait, think we could camp outside?" she grinned. "We could lay some blankets and sleep there since you made it so beautiful."
Calum didn’t know how to be in a relationship, this was his first one that he truly cared for the girl rather than just being with a girl to have sex with her. Cal smiled brightly of the idea of camping, he thought it was perfect.
"That sounds perfect!" He booped her nose before walking over to the cupboard that they kept the sleeping bags and camping things. Being the middle of summer, they could just put blankets and sleeping bags, not bothering about pitching a tent.
"I think we have marshmallows and stuff we could light the outside fireplace and have some marshmallows roasted yeah?" He asked his girlfriend, grabbing the bag of sweets and opening the door to go out.
"After you m’lady" he chuckled, gesturing her to go outside first.
Cher was still waiting for the momnet where she’d hear her annoying alarm clock warning her that everything was just as dream and things weren’t being as perfect as they were right now with Calum being her boyfriend. She kept mentally thanking her teacher for putting them both together otherwise she would still be back home laying on her bed and watching lame tv shows.
When Calum pouted at her, she found it the cutest thing ever because he was like a puppy that you can’t help but adore. She used her fingers to tilt the corner of his lips up in order to make a smile on his face making her laugh. The words made her body shiver, the fact he called Cher his girl made her go weak in a good way. “And I’m really happy that you’re my boy, my favourite one.” she giggled wrapping her arms around his middle and sighing happily.
Knowing that Cher seemed to be as happy having Cal as he was to have her was such a great feeling. He just couldn’t wait to see what would be in store for them both in the near and distant future for their relationship, it didn’t scare him at all.
"So what do you wanna do now?" He asked, moving a strand of hair away from Cher’s face, holding his new girlfriend close.
Cher giggled as Calum pouted and pouted back at him. “Aw the poor baby” she teased poking his nose. Now that she was with him she felt more comfortable and she was not scared of teasing him or not, she felt more confident but part of Cher was wondering if they’d be like that in school or if they’d just act like some friends. She pushed those thoughts to the back of mind to enjoy the moment, smiling when Calum said he was also lucky. She laughed when Calum found out about luke, knowing he wasn’t mad. “He was looking out for you.” She remembered him saying something like that. “And was asking me what I felt about you because you liked me and you acted different with me than with the other girls.” She explained smiling.
Calum was finally happy that he was with Cher, it felt like he had been waiting for this moment for so long even though in reality it was just a few short months since they first were paired up for that biology project. He was new to the dating thing and he really didn’t want to screw it up for either of them, especially Cher because she just seemed so fragile and he would never intend on hurting her.
The brunette boy pouted more when he felt his girlfriend bop his nose, he just wanted another reaction out of Cher. He loved how cute she got when he pouted, she would always give him a small smile and it was really adorable in Cal’s eyes. Hearing that Luke had been talking to Cher he didn’t know what to make out of it, he loved that his mate was helping them both out but a part of him wanted to tell him to mind his own business. Shaking his head lightly, Cal just let it slide. “I’m just happy you’re finally my girl” he chuckled, pulling her close to him and pressing his lips to her temple.
"It will be a surprise if you don’t burn the house then." Cher teased him once again with a wide smile on her face. She saw it in his face that he noticed she was nervous and she hoped she hadn’t ruined everything because things were Calum were just doing amazing. She smiled at the loving kisses and cupped his cheek as she kissed him back feeling loved and worth it, knowing he wouldn’t do anything she wouldn’t want to. "I’m so lucky to have you." Cher whispered hugging his middle, she thought she had already said that but she didn’t care, it was the truth. "Did you know Luke actually texted me the other day?" she remembered with a chuckle.
Calum nudged her playfully, knowing by the smile she was only teasing. “Hey!” He pouted, trying his hardest to act hurt but it ended in him laughing. Calum was so happy that he finally was with Cher, it was like a huge weight was lifted and he didn’t have to worry about everything he did or say because now she knew his feelings for her. Cher’s words made him smile like an idiot, a blush forming on his cheeks. No one had ever said something like that before and it came at quite a surprise. “And I’m lucky to have you” he replied, hugging her tight and kissing her temple. Cal’s eyes went wide when he heard Luke had texted Cher, that asshole, he thought to himself. He rolled his eyes, “and what did he say?” He laughed, playing with the ends of her hair, showing that he wasn’t pissed off or anything at his best friend.
"You’re a tiny bit." Cher joked chuckling at him. She looked around the house she had been before as he ordered the food, she was feeling funny. Kind of complete, maybe because she had really been craving this for a while and now it was finally happening and her and Calum were a couple but it was so surreal for her. She snapped out of her thoughts when Calum held her and she wrapped his arms around him as well. "And let you watch the house? They’re brave." she teased looking up at him but then she understood what he had meant on his thing phrase and bite her lip nervously because she was still not ready for what he was thinking and teenagers would do when parents were away.
Cal pouted but then laughed, he knew he was silly, it was his nature and he knew Cher meant it in a nice way rather than as an insult. While ordering the meal he just had to keep wrapping his head around that he had finally managed to get the girl, the girl who he had fallen for. This was a first for him and he thought it was going to be so difficult but so far it had been really easy and that made him really happy.
He chuckled, putting a piece of Cher’s hair away and behind her ear. “Yeah, they do, they trust me and it’s only for a few days…” He responded, shrugging his shoulders. He realised he had made her nervous and she was probably thinking that he wanted to have sex with her but that wasn’t his intention, that wasn’t what he thought about when he said they were ‘taking things slow.’
Calum kissed his girlfriends forehead, then her cheek, then her nose and then her lips in a cute way. He didn’t want her to be nervous and he wanted to know what tonight, he wanted to just cuddle with her and tell her how happy he was, that was all he had in mind.
Cher pecked Calum back not being that scared anymore and blushed when he called her cute. “And you’re silly.” she chuckled kissing him back right away before they pulled out to go inside. “I don’t know, I haven’t gone there for a while so just anything really.” she shrugged not having anything in mind. “Are your parents home?” she asked curious because she didn’t know if parents would let their kid have a show like that on the deck.
Calum shook his head giving her a cute pout. “I’m not that silly am I?” He raised an eyebrow before letting out a laugh, wondering what he was going to order. He decided to order a mixed entree, fried rice and a satay chicken dish, hoping that was enough. He smiled and hung up the phone, instantly going back to wrapping his arms around her. “Oh no, parents took a trip somewhere I dunno, for dads work I think” he chuckled, shrugging his shoulders. “So we have the house to ourselves how fun” he said, cheeky undertones coming out in his voice.
Cher smile widely at him and bite her lip. “And I don’t think I could have a better boyfriend.” she hummed, liking how the word rolled off her tongue easily, she had never said that before but she was glad she was calling Calum that. At the mention of chinese food, she just laughed having forgotten that was the main reason she was there. “Yeah chinese.” she nodded and bite her lip. “But first.” she giggled and stood on her toes to steal Calum’s beanie and putting on her head with a wide smile.
Cal couldn’t help but lean in to peck Cher’s lip as he heard what she said, hearing her call him her boyfriend gave him butterflies which made him happy. He blushed slightly when she grabbed his beanie from his head and put it on, usually he was very stubborn and never let anyone touch his beanie but Cher was an exception. plus she looked really cute in it. “Aw you’re so cute baby” he said softly, kissing her once more.
"So what do you like at Chinese?" He asked once they both broke the kiss, he walked towards the back door opening it and gesturing her to go inside before him as he walked behind her inside. He grabbed the phone and dialed the delivery place, which of course he knew off by heart.
Cher thought she was freaming because things like this just didn’t happen to her. She nuzzled her face on his neck and nodded to what he was saying. “That’s the best plan, I can’t thank you enough for wanting to date the nerdy doctor who girl.” she chuckled softly looking up at him.
Cal couldn’t help but go aw at Cher’s comment. “Aw babe, you’re also the beautiful cool girl that is now officially my girlfriend” he said confidently, the word girlfriend feeling slightly taboo coming off his tongue but he knew he had to get used to it. “So…. Chinese?” He chuckled, remembering that was the original reason she was here.
